2020 started with a happy note for me when I was pursuing my M.Tech Nanoscience at PSG College Of Technology, Coimbatore. I was pretty happy then studying my favourite subjects at my favourite destination. I started exploring Coimbatore a lot. My go-to destinations would be Fun Republic mall, Cakes and bake restaurants and rolling dough cafe.

COVID-19

When I was studying and relishing my favourite foods around, there came COVID-19. On March 16, 2020, The Government of Tamilnadu announced the closure of schools and colleges. On that note, all the hostel students were asked to vacate within a couple of days. I came back home imagining just 15 days of holiday and started enjoying it with my nephew.

My nephew DANVANTH was just seven months old then. My sister and brother-in-law were doctors and were busy with their duties during Covid. My mom and I would take care of the home and the little boy. I started doing every chore starting from feeding food for the little one, changing diapers, putting him to nap and all other house cleaning works.

I then realised the parent in me and responsible women taking care of the family. On other hand, my online classes began. I kept a balance on my studies and the household chores. When all my friends were bored at home, I was completely occupied with my little boy.

Baking

By July 2020, We brought an OTG and there started my baking journey. I love baking and started spending more time baking cakes, bread, pizzas and puff pastries. I started creating my own recipes by turning them a bit healthy. The best recipe of mine would be Goey brownies and oatmeal cookies.

Spinsters home

By the end of 2020, My college began for my final year projects. There was no hostel accommodation provided and hence my friend and I rented an apartment and started living there all alone. It was entirely a new experience where we both would manage every task ourselves. Normally, I cook for both of us and she would wash vessels. Thus, a happy home began.

My journey 2020

Thus, 2020 was one of the most occupied years of my life where I became more responsible, learnt a lot about parenting, a happy baker and discovered a new me who could take care of all the household needs.
